Canon take home inaugural accessibility award
Continuing their successful start to 2019, the market leading MFD manufacturer, Canon, have now collected a 4th industry award in just 6 months. The latest accolade, MFD Accessibility Award 2019, represents Canon’s effort to produce advanced office technology that is easy to use and inclusive of all the workforce.
Awarded by Buyers Laboratory Int. (BLI), the MFD Accessibility award determines which manufacturer had produced the most accessible range of multi-functional print devices. BLI focused on aspects such as Hardware, Software, User Documentation, Marketing & Internal Efforts. After gathering all the necessary data, it was determined that Canon had produced the most accessible product, with particular recognition of Hardware, Marketing & Advocacy.

The Canon control panel is consistent across the fleet and offers a range of personalisation options.
“Whilst the majority of office workers may be able to use their nearest print device with relative ease, individuals with special requirements due to disabilities may not have the same experience. Whatever their circumstance, it is important everyone can use their office MFP without difficulty.” – George Mikolay, Associate Director, Keypoint Intelligence
The Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE portfolio was found to have an impressive range of features designed to enhance accessibility. Features such as raised buttons, voice operation, negative display for contrast, braille kit and an array of support literature make the Canon range the leader in accessibility.
